Will you move a gun safe?
We will consider an empty safe as a heavy household object. Firearms, ammunition, and other contents must be removed by you before we touch it. We do not transport weapons inside a safe, and we do not advise you on firearm laws.
How heavy is too heavy?
It depends on the floor, the stair, the turn, and the equipment the path allows. Some safes and machines should not be dragged across a residential floor at all. Send the make if you know it, the floor, and photos. We may decline.
Do you need the safe's weight?
A model number helps. Guessing 'it's heavy' is how crews get hurt and floors crack. If you do not know, say so, and expect us to ask for a photo and a conservative plan.
Can a safe go down stairs?
Sometimes, with the right equipment and a stair that can take the point load. Sometimes the answer is no, or the answer is a different exit. We will not invent a staircase rating to win the job.
Are washers and slate tables heavy items?
Appliances can be. Slate pool tables are specialty work because they come apart and go back together under different rules. List them on the specialty page's terms and on your quote.
Is this the same as machinery moving?
Light commercial and household heavy pieces are in range when the path is safe. Plant equipment, cranes, and rigging projects are not a standard crew. Ask, and accept a no if the job is industrial.
