Can any moving crew move a piano?
They should not. Piano moving uses boards, straps, and a crew that has done the carry. A general furniture crew that 'will figure it out' is how legs, floors, and backs get hurt. Book it as a piano move.
What is the difference between an upright and a grand?
Weight, shape, and the way the instrument has to be tipped or boarded. A grand is a different path problem from an upright. Digital pianos are lighter but still awkward and still worth naming. Tell us which one you own.
Do stairs change everything?
Yes. A straight flight and a tight turn are different jobs. Some stairs are a refusal. We would rather decline than drop an instrument or break a baluster. Send photos of the stair with the quote.
Will you tune the piano?
No. A move disturbs tuning. Hire your own technician after the piano has settled. Tuning is not included unless a written line from a technician says otherwise, and that person is not implied by this website.
Can a piano go out of the local service area?
