What labor-only includes
Labor-only movers, moving labor services, and load-only help are the same idea. People, pads, and the carry between a doorway and a truck that is present. That can be a rental van at an apartment dock, a container in a driveway, or an unload at the destination after someone else drove.
It does not include our linehaul, our fuel, or a promise that we will drive your rental. If you need the truck and the driver, book local moving or the long-distance service that matches the miles. Mixing the two in one sentence is how invoices get argued.
Small and single-item jobs fit here when the piece is ordinary furniture. A piano or a safe still has to be accepted under piano or heavy item rules. A crew of general labor is not a dare.
What you still arrange
The vehicle, the rental contract, parking, and the elevator. Blankets if you want more than the crew brings for the carry we scoped. A realistic start time. If the truck is late, the crew's clock still exists. Say how you want waiting handled, and we will write it.
Packing is optional. Apartment rules still apply if the building has them. Same-day labor is only real when people are free.
Price is crew hours plus any travel or minimum the estimate states. Read cost factors. A lower labor rate plus a badly chosen rental can cost more than a full local crew. Do the arithmetic before you chase the smaller line.

What is a labor-only move?
Labor-only movers, sometimes called moving labor or load and unload help, provide people. You provide the truck or container. The crew loads, unloads, or both. They do not become your rental-truck driver unless a written line says a driving service exists, and this site does not assume it does.
Is labor-only cheaper?
It can be, because you are not buying our truck and our transit. It is not cheaper if the rental, the mileage, the fuel, and a second trip erase the difference. Price the whole day, not just the hourly crew.
Who is responsible on the road?
The person or company that owns or rents the truck. Labor-only scope is the carry at the addresses we were hired for. Damage or delays in transit are outside that scope unless the agreement says otherwise.
Will you pack?
Packing can be added. It is not included just because a crew is standing there. See packing services and put it on the estimate.
How many people do I need?
Enough for the stairs and the heaviest piece, not as many as will fit in the driveway. A sofa on a walk-up is often two people. A house is more. We will say what we think the path needs.
Can labor-only include a safe or piano?
Only if those items are declared and accepted. They are not ordinary labor. See piano moving and heavy item moving. We may decline.
