Equipment movers, fitness equipment movers, and art moving services show up in the same search neighborhood because the customer already knows a normal crew description is not enough. Specialty moving at UDDIM Moving is that acknowledgment. We will scope the item, the floor, the wrap, and whether setup at the other end is included.
We do not offer crane, hoist, or industrial rigging as a published service. Heavy machinery that needs permits, road closures, or engineering is outside a standard crew. Ask. If the answer is no, it will be no. Light commercial pieces, a home gym, a washer and dryer, and a slate table are the conversations we can actually have.
Art, antiques, and white-glove work
Fine art and antique movers are hired for surface, value, and pace. Tell us what the piece is. A mirror from a big-box store and a gilt frame from a family are not the same wrap. White-glove, in plain language, means more protection and placement, sometimes with the shoe covers and floor rules a residence demands. It is defined on your estimate. It is not a certified badge we are inventing on this page.
Valuation is a choice you make in the paper, not a feeling. Ask what is included. High-value pieces you cannot stand to lose should be discussed before they disappear into a carton marked "bedroom."
Pool tables, gyms, appliances
Pool table movers deal with weight, slate, and reassembly. If reassembly is required, it is a line, not a surprise. Fitness equipment movers need the machine unplugged, unbolted if that is your installer's job, and a path that can take the frame. Washer and dryer moves need the connections released by someone competent, water dealt with, and a destination that has the hookups. We do not remodel the laundry room.

Specialty moving questions
What counts as specialty moving?
Pieces that need more than a blanket and a dolly: fine art, antiques, pool tables, fitness equipment, some appliances, and light commercial equipment. If the item can injure someone or lose its value when handled like a bookcase, name it.
What does white-glove mean here?
Extra protection, a slower pace, and placement into the room, sometimes with shoe covers or floor care the building requires. It is a service level we will define on the estimate. It is not a magic phrase and it is not a claim of a particular industry certification unless that certificate is actually attached.
Do you reassemble pool tables?
Only if reassembly is written and the table is a type we agree to set back up. Slate, rails, and felt are easy to describe and easy to get wrong. If you need a specialist beyond our crew, we will say so rather than improvise.
Can you move gym equipment?
Many treadmills, racks, and plate trees can be moved when they are prepared and the path is safe. Bolted commercial installations and anything that needs a rigger are a different quote. Ask before you assume a household crew is enough.
Do you calibrate medical or lab equipment?
No. If we move a device, we move it as an object you have released. Calibration, certification, and clinical use are yours. If that is unacceptable, do not include the device.
Are antiques and art insured automatically at full value?
No. Tell us the pieces exist. Ask what valuation is included and what you can declare. A website cannot invent coverage. The estimate language is the coverage conversation.
